EVELYN RAMERIZ - From walking with a cane to skiing!
"My name is Evelyn Rameriz, I am 58 years old. I began working out with Michelle a few months ago. Prior to my training sessions with Michelle I couldn’t balance on one leg, jump, bend down to tie my shoe, or participate in one of my favorite activities; skiing. This was due to a condition called Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Syndrome (RSDS) which I suffered from for nearly 10 years. RSD usually follows an injury which triggers an immune response and symptoms associated with inflammation, burning pain, increased skin sensitivity, stiffness and swelling in affected joints. It also affects mobility and I had to use a cane to get around. After just a few weeks of training with Michelle not only can I bend down to tie my shoe and perform up to 20 jumping jacks, I can also balance on one foot and ski!! Just last week I went skiing in Lake Tahoe with my husband for the first time in 10 years and it felt incredible! I am so proud of myself and what I have accomplished! Working with Michelle has helped me to feel happier, more positive and stronger than I have in a very long time. My mind feels great and as a result of my success I have started writing a book to inspire others with RSD that there is hope. Michelle has helped me in my journey back to living a positive, healthy and happy life. She treats me like family and she guides me not only in my training but encourages me to be the best I can be. She challenges me in my training sessions and I have done so many different types of exercise that have benefited me in balance, flexibility, and cardio fitness, and I continue to improve my mobility and strength every day. I can also bend my knees now and actually sit on my feet, which I never thought I would ever be able to do again.
